• Hood or ribbed collar?

So I am making a cardigan just finishing up the 2nd sleeve and the reason this question even came up is I wasn't sure I'll have enough to finish it with the original hood idea, maybe I will. So, does anyone have ideas if I do decide to do a collar instead? Would love to get some ideas Thanks! Sam

  • Heather Cable vest

It's beautiful, but I don't get that magazine in my area. Anyone think that it will be available as a pattern purchase to download from the Knitting Daily store, at some point? The Central Park hoodie is nice, but I like the deeper hood in the vest much better. Sam

  • Re: Millefiori Cardigan - Substitute yarn

What about this one? Does anyone have experience or know of this yarn? If so, do you think it will be a good replacement? Thanks again, Samara

  • Millefiori Cardigan - Substitute yarn

I would appreciate any suggestions for substitute yarn for this beautiful cardigan in the latest issue of IK. I know it's a DK yarn, but there isn't a large selection of this weight in my area, and I need to try and find something online. So your thoughts and experience will be real helpful. Thanks! Samara

  • Please- need suggestions

I recently lost quite a bit of weight, quickly and things I have knit even lately are starting to hang. Is there anyway I can take them in (besides the seams) which won't ruin the line of the vests and sweaters? Appreciate any advice, Thanks, Samara (Sorry, not sure if this was the correct thread to post this...)

  • Re: wrapping the yarn -direction

Hi Tephra, Thanks for your response. On my knit, the first leg is in the back, with purl it's in the front. I think you are right, I notice that patterns with sskps or k2t I need to do the opposite to get the same effect. My stockinette is clean, not twisted, so i guess I am just a backwards kind of gal, :) Appreciate your input, Samara

  • wrapping the yarn -direction

I was watching one of the more recent videos and noticed that she was wrapping the yarn in the opposite direction than I do. (Truth be told I can't be absolutely sure, cause she knit so darn quickly, lol). I am also one of the "taught myself" knitters and although it appears my knitting turns out ok, I am open to all learning options and

  • Re: Designing help

That is a good idea. To try and get a feel of the yarn my sister is interested in and how it will knit up. I'll ask her to start looking for what she had in mind. I still feel like I am going about this blind, but trial and error never hurt anybody, LOL Thanks, Samara
