Thanks for the quick reply. I'm sure I completely missed the selvage edge. When I cast on 70 stitches at the beginning it matched up with the chart. Where did the selvage stitches come in? I figured it was just a repeat of the pattern. Here's where I get frustrated...shouldn't it say that in the instructions
Hi - Reading over the posts today - hoping to have the confidence to get this jacket started! I'm worried about the size of the sleeves too, and would like to make the entire sleeve about an inch wider from the armhole down. But if I add stitches to the sleeve, then I'm pretty sure I'll need to add the
I have started 4 times and still do not like my M1s. This last time, after looking at many of my knit books, I decided to put left needle through from front to back and for knit stitches, knit into the back of the stitch and for purl knit into the back of the stitch, so each one is twisted and not worry about which way
Slipped Stitch discussion. I haven't started yet...but I see discussion that there are slipped stitches for edging, an edge that will eventually be picked up when doing the Continuous Band. IMO, I am never happy with slipped stitches for pickup edges, because it in effect means there is only one slipped stitch

My email is oxid8@pivut.com. What kind of sleeves are you doing ie. short, 3/4, long? Tell me what you have done and what your stitch counts are etc.? How did you shape your armholes? I'll help if I can. Shanna
Hi Shanna, Would it be possible for you to help me with my sleeve calculations. I've been working
I've finished knitting my Bella Blouse and am just trying to sew in the neck inserts. I think I must have done something wrong on the BOs at the end, because the insert is sitting rather oddly at the back. The seam makes the insert too pointed. and so it won't lie flat and sort of pouches. Has anyone else had

JoAnnneL, I went from my daughter's measurements but I took a look at the pattern and the schematic shows 12 1/2 inches above the band until the neck shaping. I think they meant to say the picked up edge not the cast on edge. For you this would mean 12 inches from where you picked up from the band. Shanna
Hi Shanna
Hi Shanna. What a beautiful job you did. It really looks nice all one color, and I really love the sleeves with the lace border. How did you do the sleeves and fit the lace border to it? Jo AnneL
I did the border first and then calculated the sleeve. I needed 9 repeats to have the ease I wanted but that made
