My vote is for either the cable or the fair isle. As other people have noted, you could do the latter in a color scheme that would compliment Daisy. She will look great. Another advantage of the fair isle is that with all the stranding, it would be extra warm.

I want to make an afghan that calls for a discontinued worsted weight yarn (Fleisher or Bear Brand) that came in 4 oz. skeins. How many yards would that be per skein? and what is the equivalent weight in grams? Tha pattern is vintage Woman's Day by Jacqueline Henderson. Any input will be appreciated.

Help! I have an old pattern for a crocheted afghan that calls for Bear Brand or Fleischer worsted weight yarn. I can't find either of these yarns. Does anyone know where I can get these yarns? or an equivalent? Believe it or not the pattern is from a 1972 Woman's Day.

I bought RIT and the results surpassed my expectation. I did it in my kitchen sink. My horrible-yellow sweater is now a beautiful vivid rose. Miraculously it completely covered the yellow. I love it!

Magic circle is THE BEST!!!!!!!!!! I hate dp needles. There is a pamphlet that has clear illustrations and simple text. Available at: Fiber Trends POB 7266 East Wenatchee, WA 98802 www.fibertrends.com I realize your post is quite old, but if you're still struggling, this might help. It's opened up a whole new knitting world for me. Francesca

Thanks, Sheila. Do you remember the name of the dye? Was it good, old Rit? I haven't seen it in years, but I'll look for it. Francesca

I made a yellow cotton sweater. The color reflects up onto my face and looks terrible. I would like to dye it. Was thinking of using blue to make it end up green. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
