Hi Ellen, Glad to know that you can see some possibility in my sugggestion. How about your group? Did they have a lot of smart ideas? I'd like to know too. //E

I've done the same thing, except it was the cuff of a sweater - it felt bad enough! I have read in several patterns for knitting with circular needles, "make sure the cast-on row is not twisted ,,," so you've got more company. I know nothing else than checking very carefully that the bottom edge of the knitting is DOWNWARDS for all

Hi, AEsheila - I don't know if I can help you, I don't have any video. But I took a course in Japanese knitting once and the way she made buttonholes is what I have used ever after. So, for what it's worth, this is for a small button. You knit to the stitch before the buttonhole. Slip that stich and knit the next (that's where the buttonhole

Hi! Wonderful that there will be a Square Knit-along. Living in Sweden, I have been a fan of Vivian's shadow knitting and domino knitting for a while. I live in the country an hour's drive from Copenhagen, among the horses cows and some wild pigs (but those are shy). I love to knit and was taught by my mother. I also enjoy other textil

Hi Martha, I certainly agree that we need to knit on flights. Others I know have had their needles along with some pens etc, and no one has bothered. I have taken bamboo knitting needles and that was fine. And cross stitch - I can't imagine that small needles - kept with your pens etc would be a problem?? Of course I don't actually know about

As far as I know, the braided type of cotton is called cablé. As for the other types, some soft, thicker cotton I think is called wicking cotton. But I mostly knit "in Swedish" so the terms used here wouldn't help you ... Eliza

I remember that I was advised once, somewhere, somtime, that you can pick up the number of stiches requred for the pocket in the back of the stiches where the pocket is to be. Then you save the front stiches on a separate yarn piece, and continue the sweater as usual, including the back stiches. When the front is finished, you finish the pocket and
