I sell handmade stitch markers and jewelry for knitters made from semi-precious stones and silver. Please check out my website or visit Naked Sheep in north Portland, OR and Twisted on Broadway in NE Portland, OR. I will have a booth at the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival this summer and SOAR in Bend in October.
Started knitting after living in Chile in 2004 and saw amazing yarn and leg warmers. The first thing I ever knit was a pair of leg warmers on double pointed needles in the round. Boy do I hate double pointed needles! Even though I struggled with 5 needles at once, I trucked along and was hooked.
I always have at least 4 to 6 projects working at once. Socks, a sweater or other such large item and several small projects.
I know this will piss some of you off, but I don’t have any unfinished projects lurking in the closet. I have yarn that started out as something and is now waiting for a new creation, but nothing in the middle of creation and left in limbo on needles.
Every project teaches me something new about knitting and I always discover a tid bit about myself that has been lurking in the depths of my soul.
