Hello. I love to knit, I like to crochet and I love to cross stitch. When my hand or arm hurts, I switch projects. I've been knitting for I guess 40 years, but learned the right techniques about 20 years ago in a great knitting shop in College Park, MD, but it is no longer there. We used to meet every Wed. morning for 2 hours and have fun with our projects. Our house has 3 bedrooms, but one is my craft room with a wall covered with my yarn bins and I still buy yarn!! I don't need any patterns, I must have thousands, but I still collect special new ones. It is a great love.
"Principles of Knitting" by Hiatt (bought it for $35.00 way back) and "Colorful Knitwear Design", "Hand-Knitting Techniques" and "Knitting Around the World" by Threads are my favorite books for the best techniques. Can't llive without them.
