Born in Baltimore, Maryland in the early 1950s. College. Marriage. Moved to Roanoke, Virginia with husband in 1980s. Two kids born before settling in Asheville, North Carolina. Ended up with three kids and deceased husband. Able to be home with kids, until returning to work in 2000. MLIS degree. Librarian for the Southern Highland Craft Guild at the Folk Art Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Great job! Life long love of fiber! Began with crewel embroidery, then cross-stitch, hardanger, pulled-thread. Some quilting. Knitting in the background until more recently. Taught a knitting class at the kids' elementary school. Now spinning. Like to keep several projects in several techniques going at all times. Currently doing crewel piece, counted piece, two sweaters, a baby blanket, and trying to spin silk. Don't leave home very much! Life is good!
