I started with crochet at age 7 (taught by my Grandmother) and knitting at age 20 (taught by my good friend Irene). Both my Grandmother and Irene and I would knit/crochet for HOURS and HOURS! They have since died in the past several years and I miss them so much! So I have been a solo knitter since then. I would like to navigate this site better and become more involved with the knitting daily community and look forward to learning and new projects/ideas. I always have a project going on and will teach just about anyone who wants to learn and believe me I'm still learning too! There is always something new and fun to do. I collect old books/patterns and have framed my Grandmothers vintage needles. To knit or crochet is rhythm, rewarding, relaxing, righteous, ritualistic and at times ripping out!
