I'm an English professor, a long-married mother of four and grandmother of two (with two more on the way!), and I've been knitting for about 45 years. My favorite techniques are lace, cables, and entrelac; favorite things to knit include shawls, hats, scarves, socks, and anything baby. I'm 'randmknitter' on Ravelry, which I use mostly to organize and keep track of my knitting books and to check out other people's projects. And I'm active in our local guild, this year as president, which has been a lot of fun.
