Retired nurse, married 53 years, 3 children, 5 granddaughters, 2 great grandchildren 2 son in laws, I have been volunteering at hospital for several years, Hospice for couple years, facilitate a Prayer Shawl ministry at my church, knit prayer shawls for our community and also for Prayer Shawls for Families of Fallen Soldiers and for the transfer of loved ones at Dover, DE. I read a couple books a week, tend my flower garden, and volunteer to drive people to appts. I have advance COPD so have scaled back some activities. I make quilts also and do some other sewing. I wish I did not have to do any household chores so I could just sit and knit, read and see my friends. Life is good!!
My husband is a retired teacher of 34 years. He is an "artist" He has done oil painting, carving, knitted for grandchildren Lopi sweaters, one for himself and one for my friend. He makes incredible walking sticks for people who "need" them...never takes any payment. He has built a garage, breezeway, remodeled three kitchens, and sings great at many local churches etc. Boy did I luck out by singing in a church choir and meeting him all those years ago.
