64 years young, married 42 years to Ernst, two adult children and four grandchildren (girl, boy, boy, girl) ranging from 13 to 1 yo. Cannot remember learning to knit, grew up with 2 highly skilled knitters - mother and aunt. Dad never went short of Patonlye socks or handsome jumpers and cardigans!! Retired now, living in a quiet village on the south coast of NSW, about 2 hours south of Sydney. Prefer knitting with fine yarns. Love Fair Isle, though it is not particularly relevant to our climate. Textured knitting also enjoyable - complex Arans are good fun. Lace - also fun. Life organised for me by two Italian Greyhounds (Ace and Harry) and the 21 year old moggie, Vegemite. Strict taskmasters, indeed.
